With large success SIMetris has presented its services and NACS software solutions at the IEEE Ultraschall Symposium 2012 in Dresden.
We want to say thank you for the numerous and interesting talks and discussions concerning topics like identification of piezoelectric materials, ultrasound simulation capabilities of our finite element software NACS as well as computer aided measurement support in product development.
At that point we would like to provide all information material of our booth including download possibilites.
SIMetris researches in the area of noise reduction of traffic infrastructure
Increasing Noise Exposure
Within the "Zentrale Innovationsprogramm Mittelstand" - an initiative of the German Government to support research activies of small and medium companies - SIMetris currently develops a simulation method to reduce the noise of traffic infrastructure. Due to the increasing public focus of traffic generated noise, SIMetris attemtps to support traffic companies and communities to efficiently solve noise problems by noise reduction activities.
One example for a noise source within traffic are steel railway bridges. Those bridges contribute tremendously to the noise emission of a railway. As fright traffic is using railway tracks especially during the night, residents are faced with a loose-loose situation: at night time the surrounding noise emission is lower than on day times and fright traffic is increased. There exist noise reduction methods that allow to reduce the vibration energy in the bridge that also reduces the emitted sound.
Starting December 2008 SIMetris has officially become an ANSYS Enhanced Solution Partner. The goal of the cooperation is to provide a NACS based extension for ANSYS Workbench in the field of acoustics, aeroacoustics and piezoelectricity.
Starting Mid 2011 SIMetris has become a member of Technet Alliance. We are happy to enrich the consortium with our engineering services as well as with our finite element software NACS.
NACS 1.7 Service Release 2 was released in April 2013. This service release fixes some issues concerning the ANSYS interface as well as the documentation of NACS.
